Deep Tissue & Swedish Massage

These staples of massage therapy have you covered, whether you are seeking relaxation, pain relief, sports performance or overall wellness. Just let your therapist know what level of pressure is right for you.

Herbal Massage

Depending on your condition, Geordan will apply special herbal oils or liniments to enable your ultimate wellness. Available formulas include:

• Lymph moving oil- great for swelling and edema
• Warming oil- boost circulation to those cold hands and feet
• Wintergreen and cinnamon oils - move stagnation and relieve pain
  
• Muscle, Tendon & Ligament balm - a special combination great for sports recovery or achy muscles
• Chinese herbal Training & Trauma liniment - perfect for sports recovery, achy joints or anywhere that needs blood flow and regeneration
  
• Corydalis Relief balm - for help with menstrual cramps and other chronic pain

Cupping & Gua Sha

These centuries-old Asian techniques are now known worldwide for their powerful healing effects. Often incorporated into our acupuncture sessions, we recommend trying these methods out for yourself in a stand-alone session with Geordan, or, they can be worked into a longer massage appointment as an add-on.

• Cupping: Using a vacuum effect, special cups are used to traction the tissue and exchange blood and fluids. They may be manipulated in the "sliding cups" technique, or retained on the body for several minutes to remove deep-level stagnation and greatly relieve tension in muscles and connective tissue.
• Gua Sha:  A press-stroking technique is applied using lubricant and a dull-edged instrument to powerfully exchange the blood circulation, while at the same time releasing connective tissue, scar tissue and tight muscles.
