My interest in massage therapy and bodywork came to be shortly after experiencing my first massage at a workplace wellness event. I had been working a high-demand, repetitive-motion job and started experiencing continual body pains. We were offered a 10-minute chair-massage which was able to bring me immediate relief in a way that I had not yet experienced in my life.
I was very eager to spread the word about the relief I found, and felt what better way than to join the team entirely! I enrolled in the Academy of Massage Therapy and Bodywork and became a Licensed Massage Therapist in 2022. While in school, I received formal training in Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage, but I also discovered the connection between mind, body and soul which has led me to seek additional knowledge of healing and ways of thinking. This, in turn, led me here to Bridge Acupuncture where I've been able to learn directly under the acupuncturists to expand my approaches in cupping, Gua Sha, East Asian massage techniques and herbal topicals. Listening and compassion are staples to my massage therapy approach. I have had clients describe it as if I am inviting, rather than forcing, their muscles to release. From deep tissue, trigger points, and myofascial adhesions, to injury recovery and cupping, my goal is to help others with chronic pain, muscle tension, and daily stress. I hope to help clients restore balance where they need it the most! |
