Elements of Posture

Repetitive strain and degenerative changes from system-wide postural stress are key drivers of complaints we see every day in our clinic: low back pain and sciatica, headache, TMJ and migraine, and even problems with joints throughout the body—knees, hips, shoulders, hands and feet.

Cultivation of healthy posture is one of the “open secrets” to drastically improving your health and longevity. Dr. Grace Rollins draws upon decades of clinical knowledge as well as training in martial arts, Zen, Qi gong, yoga and other movement studies to help herself and her patients improve their posture in day to day life.

In this info-packed, interactive one hour class, Dr. Grace will share her favorite gems that you can implement right away, working from the bottom up (feet to head)! Touching upon key elements—footwear and furniture, sitting, standing and beyond—we will take steps together to unwind years of postural stress and set ourselves up for a healthy future. All body types and abilities welcome.
