About Paolo

Paolo Propato, MS, LAC

Acupuncture became a staple of my own healthcare after it saved me from surgery on a chronic sinus issue. After years of teaching meditation in Bucks County and Florence, Italy, acupuncture seemed like a natural progression to expand my practice of studying the complexities of human nature. It's a joy to now be able to offer its amazing potential to support the healing of others.

Background and skills
I earned a Master's Level Degree in Acupuncture during a 3-year program at Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. There I learned not only the fine skill of acupuncture, but also complementary modalities such as cupping, Gua sha, moxibustion, Tuina and Eastern nutrition. Working in the school clinic gave me the chance to work under the supervision of great teachers including Master Kiiko Matsumoto, under whom I still continue my education, as well as other teachers like Master Jeffery Yuen, who has had a great impact on me by teaching the classics of acupuncture as not only a medicine to implement in clinic but also a philosophy we can live by.

Prior to starting graduate school I also started working full-time as an acupuncture assistant at Bridge Acupuncture, where my life became saturated in this ancient medicine. Working side-by-side with Grace gave me hands-on experience, knowledge and growth far beyond what school could offer, and gave me high standards for what acupuncture can accomplish in the lives of patients.
Self-cultivation
The Chinese breath-energy exercise of Qi Gong is a tool I use often to deepen my practice. I incorporate this into my love of Shim Gum Do, a Korean martial art and meditation-in-movement developed by Zen Master Chang Sik Kim. I also enjoy yoga and spending time in the woods. My lifelong love of meditation inspired me to offer free community classes to help benefit patients at Bridge and the general community. I hope these practices support my own personal growth, allowing me to be a better father, husband and healer.
